Hello everyone!
Please forgive us for not updating sooner.. it’s been a long week for our family. After 7 tumultuous days we were finally able to be discharged from the hospital on Christmas Eve! Between weaning off pain medicine, controlling blood pressure, and tolerating feeds our little boy had been through so much and deserved a beautiful Christmas Day at home. Christmas Day was spent by the fire, opening gifts with grandpa, and delivering Christmas gifts to our cousins. Ever since the diagnosis we’ve tried to minimize exposing Zeke to germs so this was the first time he had seen his cousins since his diagnosis. 🥹 They were all so excited to see him and he himself couldn’t stop smiling once he realized where we were.
Zeke is doing very well post surgery- our main goal now is to work on gaining back the weight he had lost during his hospital stay while he wasn’t able to eat. We’re hoping that this will come back quickly so he can regain his strength for his next course of treatment. The biopsy results still haven’t been confirmed but we are hopeful they will be minimal and that his remaining treatment will be quick. Although surgery has been a huge accomplishment in his healing journey- he still has a road ahead of him. Please continue to keep him in your prayers and that the Lord will have mercy on his little body. Once we know the results of the biopsy and his treatment plan moving forward we will update accordingly.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Love,
The Yavorski’s ❤️
